Did some rounds yesterday on track and indeed it helps to smooth my digestive tract.( haha got what I mean?) Ok read newspaper today. not exactly read. but glanced through. So the latest news is that the government is spending 5 million dollars to boost the agricultural sector in Singapore. To stabilise one of the volatile parts of Singapore's securities. I find it's a bit late. Not too late that we Singaporeans suffer from the dearth of food etc. but I just find that the agricultural sector should be given the right amount of attention since the independence. Why right amount and not equal or same attention as the water issue? This is because we have contract with Malaysia which ended in a few years time. And other countries too are depending on agriculture exports for their economies since they have natural abundance in their countries. Thus, which makes Singapore as the customer which is important to ensure the flow of the global economy. In simple terms, there are food out there. We just need to buy to solve the food problems in Singapore. Anyway back to the scheme..I hope there are more schemes to help potential farmers to dwell into the sector more seriously. If there are, I will be more than happy to join this sector. If not, maybe I will have to start from overseas before I come to this expensive city of lion.
