Since beginning of the year, I've been crazing on geometric pattern on apparels. I even want my prom dress to be geometrically inspired.playing around with the angles perhaps. So you may be expecting an asymmetrical dress or symmetrical but with rectangular shoulder cap jutting out or even a dress with a lot of dimensions. like those alien-ny sleeves in most Gareth Pugh's design. What i'm trying to say is that, 2009=geometric progression.

Another thing that is hot this year that I have vaguely spotted wil be the orange-hued yellow, Mimosa. It is the 2009 colour, a gorgeous yellow family. The Pantone, some organisation selects Mimosa as te 2009 colour. In my past post, there are pictures on an umbrella and a bicycle, that are both in Mimosa. The colour is so welcoming.

I'm not surprised if you are doubtful of me. Some may say, "Fairus, Are you sure?" "Kau ni memandai je..". Ehekk.cough. Believe me dear pal! you can refer to this year AMICA Magazine. Ouh. i love that mag. It's worth more than Elle or Style by Mediacorp and SPH, in terms of contents. Anyway they featured this article written by a Singaporean Muslim woman who is bright, wears hijab, outgoing, clever, pretty, fashionable, courageous and many more.. She comes from a very religious family who has great influence in the community but, despite of her background she made it well in the fashion industry, standing up for other Muslimahs out there who are being scrutinized and stereotyped. Woo.. I'm so jealous of her, in a good way duh. At the end of it, I admire people like her.
